The analysis of psychological bases of the theory of the chuvstvovaniye developed by the Russian scientist N. Ya. Grotom is presented in article – the philosopher, the linguist, the public figure. The relation of the scientist to history of the phenomenon studied by it is characterized, his theoretical views of the principles of classification of feelings, of emotional development of the person, of interrelation existence between feelings and the mental phenomena, on possibility of practical use of results are presented. Value of the concept N. Ya. Grota for modern psychological science as a whole and the Russian school of psychology of emotions and activity, in particular is shown.
